hearts of iron IV: arms against tyranny campaign
Paradox Interactive wanted a campaign tat led to the release of the Nordic Countries expansion pack for Hearts Of Iron IV. They wanted an announcement trailer, teasing the theme (but not giving it away), a story trailer and the gameplay focused release trailer.
I had a moment of real gratitude for my work when I realized I was being paid to explore an important chapter of Nordic history during World War II — a part of the war I hadn’t known much about before this project. I'm incredibly proud of the team for handling the subject matter with care and showing the Hearts of Iron community the respect they deserve.

As the first asset to release, the announcement trailer was filled with a bunch of easter eggs as to what the theme of this expansion would be. It was a lot of fun researching what to add that wouldn’t spoil the reveal too soon. Think we pulled it off quite well.
This final asset served to finish the narrative we started, driving home the idea of taking up arms against tyranny.
